Delinquent Property Taxes

The Rockcastle County Attorney collects delinquent real and tangible property taxes. If written notice, required by the Kentucky Revised Statutes, does not result in the tax being collected, civil actions (including foreclosure) in the Rockcastle Circuit Court can be initiated.

The Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office manages current property taxes. 2019 Delinquent property taxes were turned over to the County Clerk on May 15, 2020. The 2020 taxes will become delinquent on April 15, 2021 and will be transferred to the Rockcastle County Clerk. Click the link below to check 2020 property tax bills.

A payment plan can be arranged by calling the Rockcastle County Attorney’s office at (606) 256-2730

The Rockcastle County Clerk requires payment in full and does not accept partial payments. If you are unable to pay in full, the Rockcastle County Attorney’s Office offers payment plans on delinquent property taxes.

Please call 606-256-2730 to arrange a tax payment agreement and set up monthly payments.

Once the Rockcastle County Attorney’s Office has collected all payments, a check will be sent to the Rockcastle County Clerk’s Office to satisfy the bill(s).
